But suddenly things began jumping in this house and the actions were not by a living person. It began when an auctioneer was getting the furnishings in the house ready for sale before the present owners moved into the place. While working she and her helper heard a door close in the house. They searched the entire house, but found nothing. They decided not to take a chance and called the police. The police laughed, an odd reaction, but still laughed then checked out the entire house. He found nothing. The police officer explained the reason he laughed was because the house had already gained somewhat of a reputation for being haunted. Though most in the police force felt this was nothing more than a joke. The police officer went on to tell them that many of the police officers in the area have reported seeing lights in the house at night. Though upon investiga- tion, they found nothing . He told the auctioneer that he had never been so afraid as he was one night when he entered this empty house. He just had a feeling of dome. He turn- ed off the light that was burning and left the house quickly. Within an hour the report came across his radio once again that the light was back on in the house. He drove by, but didn't go in this time.
